Praslin Island Airport guide

Praslin Island Airport (ICAO: FSPP) is the main air gateway to Praslin, the second-largest island in the Seychelles. It sits at Grand Anse on the island's southwest side, a few kilometres from the Baie Sainte Anne ferry jetty and the beach resorts of the north coast.

The airport has a single concrete runway, 15/33, which is 1,405 metres long. Sitting about 3 metres above sea level, it handles turboprop and small aircraft rather than long-haul jets. It was officially reopened on 3 June 2001 after an expansion in the late 1990s.

The Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority operates the airport. Air Seychelles flies the scheduled service to Mahe, which takes about 15 minutes and is the usual alternative to the ferry. The airline also runs charters to other islands in the group. Published capacity is over 1,500 passengers a day. Actual traffic is far lower, with travel guides putting it at roughly 170,000 to 200,000 passengers a year. No recent official airport total is published, so the page leaves the figure out.
