Najran Domestic Airport guide

Najran Domestic Airport (ICAO: OENG) serves Najran Province in southwestern Saudi Arabia, close to the border with Yemen. It opened to commercial traffic in September 2011, when the first flight arrived from Jeddah. The General Authority of Civil Aviation described the new facilities as able to handle 1.4 million passengers and 15,000 flights a year, and said they could receive wide-bodied aircraft.

The airport sits at an elevation of about 1,214 metres (3,982 feet) on the high plateau of the Sarawat mountains. It has one asphalt runway, designated 06/24, which is 3,050 metres long. The buildings include arrival and departure lounges, a control tower, and administrative and technical offices.

Traffic is mostly domestic. Saudia, flynas and flyadeal link Najran with Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, and flydubai adds a route to Dubai. Reports for 2025 and the first quarter of 2026 put activity at about 1.7 million passengers and more than 13,000 flights over that period, which is close to the airport's stated design capacity. Visitors should check current schedules with the airlines, because routes change from season to season.
