Rafha Domestic Airport guide

Rafha Domestic Airport (ICAO: OERF) serves Rafha Governorate in the Northern Borders Province of Saudi Arabia, in the desert close to the Iraqi border. The airport sits on the northeastern edge of Rafha town, at an elevation of about 449 metres.

Its single asphalt runway, 11/29, is roughly 3,000 metres long and 45 metres wide. That is long enough for large airliners, although traffic is light and limited to domestic services. Saudia connects the airport with Riyadh and Jeddah, and Nesma Airlines has flown to Hail.

Rafha has no rail or metro link, so most travellers arrive by car, taxi or arranged transfer from the town. Hotels and rental cars in Rafha are few, and visitors usually book them ahead of arrival. Flight schedules change often at airports of this size, so check the airline before travelling.
