Al Wajh Domestic Airport guide

Al Wajh Domestic Airport sits on the Red Sea coast of Tabuk Province, just south of the town of Al Wajh. It also serves the neighbouring governorate of Umluj. The General Authority of Civil Aviation owns and operates it.

The airport has one asphalt runway, designated 15/33, which measures 3,050 by 45 metres. That is long enough for large jets, although the schedule is small. Saudia is the only scheduled carrier, with flights to Jeddah and Riyadh.

The passenger building handles domestic traffic only. Al Wajh is a coastal fishing and port town, and the airport is the quickest route to it from the main Saudi cities. The road from the airport into town takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
