Bragança Airport guide

Bragança Airport, officially the Aeródromo Municipal de Bragança, is a small regional aerodrome in the far northeast of Portugal. It lies at Baçal, 7.5 km north-northeast of Bragança, at an elevation of 694 m.

The aerodrome has one asphalt runway, 01/19, measuring 1,700 m by 30 m. It is open to visual flight rules traffic only. An AFIS radio service runs Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to sunset, and extended hours are available with prior permission from the aerodrome director. Runway lights are available on request. Jet A1 and AVGAS 100LL fuel are sold on site, and a hangar of about 900 m² and an 80 m by 60 m apron serve visiting aircraft.

There is no passenger terminal building. Scheduled passenger flights are a regional air link operated by Sevenair, which connects Bragança with Vila Real, Viseu, Cascais near Lisbon and Portimão in the Algarve using a 19-seat aircraft. Timetables change by season and service has no flights on Sundays. The aerodrome also handles general aviation and ultralight flying, and glider activity takes place nearby.
