Cuyo Airport guide

Cuyo Airport (IATA: CYU, ICAO: RPLO) is a small public airport on Cuyo Island in the Cuyo Islands, a group in the Sulu Sea east of mainland Palawan. It lies in Barangays Lucbuan and Emilod in the municipality of Magsaysay, beside the Saint Michael Archangel Parish Church, and also serves the neighbouring municipalities of Cuyo and Agutaya.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines owns and operates the field and classes it as a Class 2 feeder airport for domestic traffic. It has one runway, 04/22, about 1,524 metres long with a gravel surface, at an elevation of 4 metres above sea level.

In Filipino it is called Paliparan ng Cuyo, and elsewhere in Palawan the other airports include Puerto Princesa International, El Nido, Taytay and Busuanga.

The Cuyo Islands lie off the mainland, so the airport is the air connection for residents of the three municipalities. Air Juan, a small-aircraft operator, flew scheduled services from Puerto Princesa to Cuyo from 2016 before it stopped operating around 2020.
