Godofredo P. Ramos Airport guide

Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, also known as Caticlan Airport and Boracay Airport, is the main gateway to Boracay island in Aklan province. It sits at 5 metres above sea level on the Malay and Nabas side of Panay's northwestern tip, a short transfer from the Caticlan jetty port where boats cross to the island. It began in 1935 as Tabung Point Airfield, an emergency landing strip, and was renamed in November 2012 for former congressman Godofredo P. Ramos.

The single concrete runway, 06/24, is 1,800 metres long and 45 metres wide. An extension from 950 metres opened on 18 November 2016 and allows aircraft up to the Airbus A321. Night operations have been possible since 2017. In 2023 the airport handled 3,288,166 passengers and 24,784 aircraft movements, making it the fourth-busiest airport in the Philippines and the busiest in Western Visayas.

The airport is owned by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and run by Trans Aire Development Holdings Corporation under a 25-year build-operate-transfer concession signed in 2009. Flights divert to Kalibo International Airport in bad weather. A permanent two-level terminal designed for 7 million passengers a year broke ground on 14 July 2025, with completion expected in 2027.
