It sits on Isla Colón, 1.5 km northwest of Bocas Town, so most visitors reach the town centre by a short taxi ride. The airport is also known as José Ezequiel Hall Airport. A 2017 law gave it that name in honour of a pilot from the province, and a plaque was unveiled at the terminal that May.
