Oslo-Gardermoen International Airport guide

Oslo Airport, Gardermoen opened on 8 October 1998, replacing Fornebu Airport as Oslo's main airport. It lies on the Gardermoen plateau at the border of the Nannestad and Ullensaker municipalities in Akershus, about 35 km north-northeast of Oslo city centre in a straight line. The airport is operated by Avinor, the state-owned company that runs most of Norway's airports, through its subsidiary Oslo Lufthavn AS.

In 2025 the airport handled 27,068,787 passengers and 224,416 aircraft movements, making it the busiest airport in Norway. Scandinavian Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøe are the main carriers, alongside international airlines such as Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, British Airways, Finnair, easyJet and Turkish Airlines. The airport has 31 domestic and 164 international destinations.

There is a single terminal of 265,000 square metres with two parallel runways of 3,600 m and 2,950 m. The west wing holds the domestic A-gates, the south pier the B-gates, and the north pier, opened in 2017, has 11 gates. The east pier serves international flights, with the F-gates for non-Schengen traffic at its eastern end. The Flytoget Airport Express train reaches Oslo Central Station in about 19 minutes, and roughly 70% of passengers travel to the airport by public transport.
