Andøya Airport, Andenes guide

Andøya Airport sits at the northern tip of Andøya island in Andøy Municipality, Nordland, about two minutes by road from the village of Andenes. It is the civilian sector of Andøya Air Station, which was built from 1952 as a NATO-funded maritime surveillance base for the Royal Norwegian Air Force.

Civilian service began in 1964, when SAS started flights to Oslo. Today the airport is owned and run by the state company Avinor. Widerøe flies Dash 8 aircraft to Bodø, Tromsø, Harstad/Narvik and Stokmarknes on public service obligation routes. Norwegian Air Shuttle adds a seasonal service to Oslo.

The main runway is 2,468 metres long and aligned 14/32. A second runway, 1,672 metres long and aligned 03/21, has been closed since 2015. The terminal is small, with taxis, car rental and free parking outside. Traffic reached 79,193 passengers in 2025, up from 66,531 in 2024.
