Ciudad Obregón International Airport guide

Ciudad Obregón International Airport (ICAO MMCN) sits in Cajeme Municipality, Sonora, about 15 km southeast of Ciudad Obregón's centre. It covers 385 hectares at an elevation of 62 metres and serves the city and southern Sonora. Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares, a federal government-owned corporation, operates it.

The airport has one asphalt runway, 13/31, 2,300 metres long. The apron is 17,325 square metres with two stands for narrow-body and general aviation aircraft. The terminal has check-in, arrivals, baggage claim, car rental counters and taxi stands on the lower level. Upstairs are the security checkpoint, a commercial area, a VIP lounge and three gates, two with jet bridges. Official operating hours are 06:00 to 18:00.

Traffic is almost entirely domestic. The airport handled 531,343 passengers in 2025, up from 438,717 in 2024, and ranked 38th in Mexico. Its busiest routes that year were Tijuana, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey and Mexico City's Felipe Ángeles airport. Aeroméxico Connect, Viva and Volaris fly scheduled services, and Aéreo Servicio Guerrero connects to Baja California Sur. Modernisation work announced in 2025 includes a 500-metre runway extension.
