Gao International Airport guide

Gao International Airport, also called Korogoussou Airport, has the ICAO code GAGO. It lies about 5 km east-southeast of Gao, on the Niger River in northeastern Mali, at 265 m elevation.

The airport is a joint civil and military field. It has one asphalt runway, 07/25, 2,500 m long and paved in 2018. The runway crosses the prime meridian. Aéroports du Mali is listed as its manager.

Commercial service is thin. Sky Mali is the only scheduled airline, with flights to Bamako and Niamey. The military side of the field has hosted Malian forces, the UN MINUSMA mission, and French and German contingents, so access and schedules depend on the security situation in the region.
