Wotje Airport guide

Wotje Airport is a public-use airstrip on Wotje Island, in Wotje Atoll in the Ratak Chain of the Marshall Islands. The IATA assigns it the code WTE and the FAA lists it as N36. No ICAO code is listed in the Wikipedia entry for the airport.

The strip has one turf runway, 13/31, about 1,303 metres (4,275 feet) long and 23 metres wide. It sits roughly 1 metre above sea level. The airport has no control tower, and no aircraft are based here. Japanese forces built the airfield, and a second runway once crossed the main one. Pacific Wrecks describes the field as still in limited use for small aircraft.

Air Marshall Islands is the only airline listed, serving Marshall Islands International Airport in Majuro. A 1999 account describes Wotje as the first stop on the airline's flight from Majuro to Likiep, so the schedule may include onward stops. No passenger or movement statistics are published for Wotje.
