Mili Island Airport guide

Mili Airport is a public-use airstrip in the village of Mili, on Mili Atoll in the Ratak Chain of the Marshall Islands. The FAA lists it as 1Q9, and the IATA assigns it the code MIJ. No ICAO code is listed in the Wikipedia entry for the airport.

The strip has one turf runway, 05/23, about 869 metres (2,850 feet) long and 23 metres wide. It sits roughly 1 metre above sea level and has no runway lighting or refuelling. A logistics assessment notes that water can pond on the surface, so flights operate only when the runway is dry. No aircraft are based here.

Air Marshall Islands is the only airline listed, flying to Marshall Islands International Airport in Majuro, about 20 minutes away. Prior permission is required for private landings.
