Fukuoka City Subway

The Fukuoka City Transportation Bureau operates the municipal subway network, whose Airport Line runs directly beneath the Domestic Terminal, making Fukuoka Airport Station the only Japanese subway stop built into an airport terminal. The line links the airport to Hakata and Tenjin in under fifteen minutes and continues west to Meinohama, where it through-runs onto the JR Chikuhi Line toward Chikushino and Karatsu.

Showa Bus

Showa Bus, a private highway coach operator based in Karatsu, runs the Karatsu-go and Imari-go intercity services linking Fukuoka Airport with the western Saga coast. Coaches call at the domestic terminal on selected departures before continuing to Hakata and Tenjin, using the region's fare-by-stage boarding system with nimoca and other network IC cards, plus commuter passes and the SUNQ Pass.
