Bolzano Airport guide

Bolzano Airport sits on the southern edge of the city, in the Adige valley at 270 metres above sea level. It serves South Tyrol and the surrounding Dolomites, and is known locally as Aeroporto di Bolzano - Dolomiti and Flughafen Bozen - Dolomiten.

The airfield opened in October 1926 with a 1,300 metre runway. Scheduled public service obligation flights to Rome ended in June 2015, and the airport then had no scheduled commercial traffic. The South Tyrol government sold it in 2019 to the private company ABD Holding. The single asphalt runway, 01/19, was extended to 1,462 metres in late 2021.

Sky Alps is based here and flies mostly seasonal routes to Germany, Greece, Italy, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Poland and Czechia. Traffic reached 132,969 passengers and 16,662 aircraft movements in 2025, up 25.3 percent and 12 percent on 2024.
