Khoram Abad Airport guide

Khoram Abad Airport (ICAO: OICK) serves Khorramabad, the capital of Lorestan Province in western Iran. It sits on the Zagros plateau at an elevation of about 1,153 metres above sea level, southwest of the city centre.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, designated 11/29 and roughly 3.5 kilometres long. That is long enough for large jets, which is unusual for a regional airport with a handful of weekly services. It is a public airport owned by the Government of Iran and run by the Iran Airports Company.

Scheduled flying is domestic. Iran Air and Mahan Air link Khorramabad with Tehran Mehrabad, Chabahar Airlines has also served the Tehran route, and Caspian Airlines has operated to Mashhad. Timetables on these routes change often, so check with the airline before travelling.

The airport has no public bus or rail connection that could be confirmed. Visitors reach Khorramabad by taxi or ride-hailing, a drive of about 9 kilometres.
