Bam Airport guide

Bam Airport serves the city of Bam in Kerman Province, southeastern Iran. Its ICAO code is OIKM. The airport sits at an elevation of 985 metres and lies east of the city.

The airfield has a single asphalt runway, designated 12/30, which is 3,385 metres long. That length is far more than the small domestic schedule needs and is enough for large aircraft.

Scheduled service is limited. Qeshm Air flies the route to Tehran Mehrabad. The airport handles domestic traffic only, so international visitors to Bam, including those coming to see the Arg-e Bam citadel, usually arrive through Tehran or fly into Kerman Airport and continue by road.

The Government of Iran owns the airport and Iran Airports Company operates it. Timetables change often, so check with the airline or the operator before booking a trip.
