Jérémie Airport guide

Jérémie Airport (ICAO MTJE) serves the town of Jérémie, the capital of the Grand'Anse department on the western tip of Haiti's southern peninsula. It sits about 6.5 km west of the town centre at an elevation of 45 m. The National Airports Authority (Autorité Aéroportuaire Nationale) runs it.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, 10/28, 1,200 m long. A non-directional beacon, JRM, stands on the field. The runway and the arrival and departure buildings were renovated in 2020 so that larger aircraft could land, and an extension for direct international flights has been discussed.

Scheduled service is domestic and runs on small turboprops. Sunrise Airways links Jérémie with Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haïtien, which makes the flight the fastest way to the capital from a region where the road journey is long. Passenger traffic ranks fifth among Haitian airports.
