Zagreb Franjo Tuđman International Airport Guide
Franjo Tuđman Airport Zagreb is Croatia's busiest airport, located in Velika Gorica, about 10 km southeast of Zagreb Central Station. Commercial operations moved to the Pleso site in 1962, and the airport was renamed Zagreb Airport in 1966 before taking the name of Franjo Tuđman, Croatia's first president. The current terminal, 65,800 m² on three levels, opened to the public on 28 March 2017.
Croatia Airlines has its hub here, and Ryanair opened a base in July 2021. Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Air France, KLM, British Airways, Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways also serve the airport.
The airport handled 4.3 million passengers and 49,955 aircraft movements in 2024, up from about 3.7 million passengers in 2023. It is operated by MZLZ d.d. under a 30-year concession awarded in 2012 to a consortium involving Groupe ADP. It has a single runway, designated 04/22, 3,252 m long.
