Franjo Tuđman Airport Zagreb is Croatia's busiest airport, located in Velika Gorica, roughly 16 km southeast of Zagreb city centre. The airport was established at its current Pleso site in 1962 and is named after Croatia's first president. A 65,800 m² terminal opened in March 2017, replacing the old building as the primary facility and bringing annual capacity to 5 million passengers in its first phase.

Croatia Airlines uses Zagreb as its main hub, while Ryanair operates a base here with services to more than 30 destinations. Other carriers connecting ZAG to major European hubs include Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Air France, KLM, British Airways, Turkish Airlines, and Qatar Airways. Long-haul options are limited, with Middle East connections via Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, and flydubai serving as the primary intercontinental links.

The airport recorded 4.3 million passengers in 2024, a record at the time, and handled 49,955 aircraft movements. Groupe ADP leads the ZAIC consortium that holds the 30-year operating concession awarded in 2013. The Croatian Air Force shares the airfield, which operates a single runway designated 04/22.
