Kastoria National Airport Aristotle guide

Kastoria National Airport, also known as Aristotelis Airport, serves the Kastoria regional unit in Western Macedonia, northern Greece. The airport sits near Argos Orestiko, on the plain south-west of Kastoria town, at an elevation of 661 metres above sea level. Its ICAO code is LGKA.

The Greek State owns the airport and the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority runs it. It has a single asphalt runway, designated 12/30, listed at 2,698 metres. That length can take medium and large aircraft, well beyond what the current schedule needs.

Traffic is light. The airport handled 4,301 passengers and 338 aircraft movements in 2018, the latest figures published on Wikipedia. Sky Express is the scheduled carrier, with flights to Athens and Kozani. The airport has no customs or immigration facilities, so it handles domestic flights only.

In June 2025 the Region of Western Macedonia and the Civil Aviation Authority discussed a new control tower. The Region agreed to fund the studies, and the next step is a cost review by Civil Aviation. Visitors should confirm current flight days with the airline before travelling, as the timetable is thin.
