Banjul International Airport, also known as Yundum International, is The Gambia's only commercial airport. It sits in Yundum, about 26 kilometres from Banjul city centre, and handles all scheduled international traffic for the country. The airport handles around 419,000 passengers annually, with tourism from Europe driving the bulk of traffic.

The airport has a single runway of 3,600 metres capable of accommodating wide-body long-haul jets. A modern terminal opened in 1997, designed by Senegalese architect Pierre Goudiaby Atepa. A new terminal is in active procurement as of 2025. The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority manages airport operations.

Key European carriers serve Banjul directly, including Brussels Airlines, TUI Airways, TAP Air Portugal, and Turkish Airlines. African connections include Air Senegal, ASKY Airlines, and Royal Air Maroc. The airport was previously designated as a NASA Space Shuttle emergency landing site for low-inclination launches.
