Land's End Airport Guide
Land's End Airport sits near Kelynack on the Penwith peninsula, about 10 km west of Penzance as the crow flies. It is the most south-westerly airport on the British mainland and gives the quickest link to the Isles of Scilly, with flights to St Mary's taking under 20 minutes.
Channel Air Ferries began flying from the site to St Mary's in 1937. The airport has four short grass and asphalt runways, the longest of them 784 m. It handled 49,671 passengers in 2024 and about 7,500 aircraft movements, almost all of them Skybus flights to the islands.
The airport is small. A terminal that opened in April 2013 holds a cafe, free WiFi and special assistance, and there is on-site parking and car hire. A pre-booked transfer bus runs to Penzance railway station, and local buses and taxis stop outside. Air Cornwall runs fixed-wing training and air experience flights from the airfield, and Adventure 001 offers scenic helicopter flights.
