Bristol Airport sits on the Mendip Hills at Lulsgate Bottom, in North Somerset, south-west of the city it serves. It is the main airport for the South West of England and handled about 10.8 million passengers in 2025. Passenger services began in 1957 under the name Bristol (Lulsgate) Airport. The name Bristol International Airport was used from 1997 to 2010.
