Bournemouth Airport sits at Hurn, on the edge of the New Forest in the BCP Council area of Dorset. It serves the south Dorset coast and the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole conurbation.

The airfield was built in 1941 and BOAC based its operations there from November 1944. It handled about 1.4 million passengers and 24,900 aircraft movements in 2025. Jet2.com opened a base in 2025, and Ryanair and TUI Airways also run bases from the airport. Services are mainly short-haul leisure routes, and easyJet adds a seasonal route to Geneva.

The runway is 2,272 metres long, which suits large passenger jets, cargo aircraft and business aviation. The airport also serves an adjacent business park and a freight operation, Cargo First. An arrivals hall with immigration facilities opened in 2011 beside the main terminal building, and a single compact terminal handles check-in, security and departures.
