Vunisea Airport serves Kadavu Island, the fourth largest island in Fiji at 411 km². It is also known as Namalata Airport and Kadavu Airport, and its ICAO code is NFKD. The field sits at Vunisea, the island's administrative centre, on the Namalata isthmus, a narrow strip of land that almost cuts the island in two between Namalata Bay and Galoa Harbour.

The airport has one asphalt runway, 16/34, about 915 m long. Elevation is roughly 2 m above sea level. Airports Fiji Limited operates it.

Fiji Link, the domestic arm of Fiji Airways, flies to Nadi and to Nausori Airport at Suva. Kadavu has no road link to Viti Levu, so the flights sit alongside the ferries run by Patterson Brothers Shipping, Goundar Shipping and Liaona Shipping. Many visitors arrive for surfing, kayaking and diving.
