Pori Airport guide

Pori Airport is in Satakunta, on the west coast of Finland. It lies about 2.6 km south of the centre of Pori, which makes it one of the closest airports to the town it serves. A Matkahuolto bus service runs from the Pori bus station to the airport roughly hourly.

Traffic began in 1939 at the still-unfinished airfield, and the runways were completed in 1941. Aero opened a regular route to Pori in 1945. Finavia operates the airport today. It is also home to the Finnish Aviation Academy, the country's main flight training centre, along with a parachute club and the flight school Porin Lentotilaus Oy.

There are two asphalt runways. Runway 12/30 is 2,351 m long and 60 m wide, and runway 17/35 is 801 m long and 30 m wide. BASe Airlines flies the scheduled route to Helsinki. The terminal is small, with two check-in desks and a cafeteria. Passenger numbers peaked at 66,308 in 2008 and fell to 4,702 in 2021. The airport handled 12,856 passengers in 2025.
