Asosa Airport guide

Asosa Airport (ICAO: HASO) is a public airport serving Asosa, the capital of the Benishangul-Gumuz Region in western Ethiopia. It lies about 5.5 kilometres southeast of the town and sits at an elevation of 1,561 metres.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, designated 11/29. Wikipedia and SKYbrary list it at 1,950 metres by 46 metres. Some aviation directories give a longer figure of about 2,500 metres, so the exact length is worth confirming with the operator before planning an aircraft movement.

Ethiopian Airports Enterprise operates the airport. The only scheduled service is Ethiopian Airlines, which flies the domestic route to Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. The airport has no official website of its own, so travellers check flight times through Ethiopian Airlines. It is a small regional facility with one passenger terminal, and no public passenger or movement statistics are available.
