Pamplona Airport guide

Pamplona Airport sits in the Noáin valley, about 6 km south of Pamplona city centre. Aena operates it as a small regional airport with a single asphalt runway, 16/34, which measures 2,207 m.

Official opening took place on 4 October 1969, and regular passenger flights began on 6 July 1972. The current terminal and control tower opened on 24 November 2010.

Traffic is modest. The airport handled 220,423 passengers and 5,355 aircraft movements in 2024, about 11.6% more passengers than in 2023. Services are mainly domestic, with Iberia flying to Madrid and Binter Canarias linking Navarre with Gran Canaria and Tenerife North. Iberia is scheduled to add Barcelona from 25 October 2026, and Volotea to add Seville from 6 November 2026.

Airports Council International has named it the best European airport in the under 2 million passengers category, and also recognised it for cleanliness. Ground access is by car, taxi or shared taxi, and car hire is available on site.
