Metrovía
Metrovía is Guayaquil's municipal bus rapid transit network, run by the city's Empresa Pública de Tránsito y Movilidad (ATM) through dedicated operating consortia. Buses run in exclusive lanes across the city's trunk corridors, linking neighbourhoods, hospitals, markets and terminals with a shared smart-card fare. Troncal 2 connects the airport directly to downtown Guayaquil and both bus terminals, 25 de Julio and Río Daule.

Troncal 2 is Metrovía's north-south trunk corridor, running in segregated bus lanes between Terminal 25 de Julio in the south and Terminal Río Daule in the north. The line calls at the dedicated Aeropuerto stop directly outside José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport, linking it to downtown landmarks including Plaza del Centenario, Mercado de las 4 Manzanas and the Centro de Convenciones. Buses use the same rechargeable smart card as the rest of the Metrovía network.
