Cheikh Bouamama Airport (IATA: MZW, ICAO: DAAY), also called Mécheria Airport, lies near Mécheria in Naâma Province, in the high plateaus of north-western Algeria. It sits at an elevation of about 1,175 m.

The airport has two asphalt runways. Runway 06/24 is 3,581 m long and runway 16/34 is 2,926 m long. Wikipedia classifies it as a military airport that also serves civil routes.

Algerian press reported in February 2020 that the airport had been unused for more than ten years and was due to reopen, with a proposed Naâma to Algiers service twice a week. In October 2025 the public works minister launched work on the aircraft parking apron, and flights resumed on 21 December 2025 with an Air Algérie service from Algiers. Check current flight availability with the airline before travelling.
