Jardines Del Rey Airport guide
The airport sits on Cayo Coco, an island off Cuba's northern coast in Ciego de Ávila province. It was inaugurated on 26 December 2002 and takes its name from the Jardines del Rey archipelago. It was built so that visitors to the island's resorts no longer had to land at Máximo Gómez Airport near Morón, about 70 km away on the mainland. A 27 km causeway across Bahía de Perros links the island to the mainland.
