Liupanshui Yuezhao Airport guide

Liupanshui Yuezhao Airport serves Liupanshui in western Guizhou Province. It sits on the boundary between Yuezhao Township in Zhongshan District and Dongdi Township in Shuicheng County, about 15 kilometres by road from the city centre. The airport opened on 28 November 2014, and its first flight was a China Southern service from Guiyang.

The airport has one runway, designated 05/23, and a single terminal building of about 8,300 square metres. In 2024 it handled 90,938 passengers and 836 aircraft movements. Service is small and entirely domestic. In the 2025 summer-autumn season, three routes linked it with three cities: Beijing Capital, Shenzhen Bao'an and Nanjing Lukou.

Traffic remains well below the design targets set for 2020, which were 250,000 passengers and 3,500 movements a year. Liupanshui is a coal and steel city in a mountainous part of the province, and the airport gives it a direct air link to the national network.
