Fuzhou Changle International Airport guide

Fuzhou Changle International Airport sits on the Taiwan Strait coast in Changle District, about 50 kilometers from central Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province. It opened on 23 June 1997, replacing the city's older airfield, and is owned and operated by Yuanxiang (Fuzhou) International Airport Co., Ltd.

Passenger traffic has grown steadily since the airport passed 10 million annual passengers in 2015; in 2025 it handled more than 16 million passengers and over 112,000 aircraft movements, a yearly gain of roughly 5%. In mid-2026 the airport commissioned a second runway alongside a new terminal, lifting it to ICAO Code 4F status, the first airport in Fujian province to reach that classification and able to accept the largest widebody aircraft.

The airport is the home base for both Fuzhou Airlines and XiamenAir, and links Fujian province to destinations across mainland China as well as international points such as New York, Tokyo and Singapore, plus routes to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. An expressway connects the airport to downtown Fuzhou in roughly 30 to 40 minutes.
