Dandong Langtou International Airport guide

Dandong Langtou Airport lies near Langtou town on the south-western edge of Dandong, a Liaoning border city facing North Korea across the Yalu River. It is a joint civil-military airfield and the only commercial airport serving the city.

Civil flights began in April 1985. A new 20,000 square metre terminal opened on 17 April 2014, with an international waiting hall, two domestic waiting halls and two jet bridges. The single concrete runway, 01/19, is 2,600 metres long. The Liaoning Airport Management Group runs the airport.

The route network is domestic and centres on Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu, flown by Air China, China Southern, Shanghai Airlines, Sichuan Airlines and Tianjin Airlines. The airport handled 243,068 passengers and 2,622 aircraft movements in 2021. It closed on 18 May 2025 for a runway extension and resumed operations on 26 April 2026.
