Round Lake (Weagamow Lake) Airport guide

Round Lake (Weagamow Lake) Airport (ICAO CZRJ) serves North Caribou Lake First Nation, also called Weagamow First Nation, an Oji-Cree community on Weagamow Lake in the Kenora District of northwestern Ontario. The airfield lies about 1.9 km east of the community at an elevation of 974 ft.

The airport has a single gravel runway, 03/21, 1,101 m (3,613 ft) long. It is operated by the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Transportation. No passenger or movement statistics are published for the airfield.

The community sits roughly 320 km by air north of Sioux Lookout and has no year-round road link, so the airstrip carries most passengers and freight. Scheduled flights to Sioux Lookout are listed for Bearskin Airlines, North Star Air, Perimeter Aviation and Wasaya Airways, and North Star Air also lists Thunder Bay. Baggage allowances on small aircraft are often tighter than on mainline routes, and schedules change by season, so confirm flight times and identification requirements with the airline before travelling.
