Kenora Airport guide

Kenora Airport (ICAO CYQK) serves the city of Kenora on Lake of the Woods in northwestern Ontario. The airfield lies about 9 km east-northeast of the city, close to the Manitoba border and roughly 200 km east of Winnipeg.

The airport has one asphalt runway, 08/26, which measures 1,768 m (5,800 ft) by 46 m (150 ft). That length handles regional turboprops and business aircraft. The Kenora Airport Authority Inc. runs the field. Transport Canada data recorded 13,957 aircraft movements in 2010, a mix of scheduled flights, charters, medevac and general aviation traffic.

Commercial service has changed in recent years. Bearskin Airlines, part of Perimeter Aviation, ended its scheduled Thunder Bay service on 11 May 2024. North Star Air has since resumed commercial flights from Kenora, and bookings go through the carrier directly. The terminal building carries the name McDougald International Terminal. Schedules and routes can change, so confirm flight details with the airline before travelling.
