Bella Coola Airport guide

Bella Coola Airport (IATA: QBC, ICAO: CYBD) serves the Bella Coola Valley on British Columbia's Central Coast. It sits about 11 km northeast of the community of Bella Coola, at an elevation of 117 ft (36 m). The valley has no rail link and is reached by road from the interior over the Chilcotin Plateau or by sea, so the airport is a main year-round connection to the rest of the province.

The Central Coast Regional District operates the airport. It has one asphalt runway, 05/23, about 4,200 ft (1,280 m) long. Operations are limited to daytime and visual flight rules. Weather reports are normally available until mid-afternoon through the Kamloops Flight Service Station, and fuel is listed as 100LL and Jet A.

Pacific Coastal Airlines flies scheduled service to Vancouver. Charter and general aviation traffic also use the field. Public passenger and aircraft movement statistics are not published, so none are listed here.
