Dangriga Airport guide

Dangriga Airport sits on the coast of the Stann Creek District in southern Belize, about 1 km north of Dangriga town. It is also known as Pelican Beach Airstrip, and its ICAO code is MZPB. The field lies at an elevation of 13 ft above sea level.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, designated 09/27 and listed at 795 m (2,608 ft). That length suits the small turboprop aircraft that serve Belize's domestic network, such as the Cessna 208 Caravan flown by local carriers.

Service is domestic only. Maya Island Air and Tropic Air connect Dangriga with Belize City, using both the Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport and the Municipal Airport. The flight to Belize City takes about 20 minutes, a fraction of the time the same trip takes by road. Both airlines also fly to Placencia, and Maya Island Air adds a link to Independence.
