Bendigo Airport sits in East Bendigo, about 5 km north-east of the city centre in central Victoria. Its ICAO code is YBDG. It is a regional airfield serving Bendigo and the surrounding district.

A new 1,600 m by 30 m north-south runway, with new taxiways, lighting and signage, was completed in 2017. The old runway limited the airport to aircraft under 5,700 kg. The upgrade allowed larger aircraft and led to QantasLink starting Sydney flights on 31 March 2019, the first regular commercial service from Bendigo in more than 30 years. The flights stopped in March 2020 because of COVID-19 and resumed in December 2020. QantasLink moved the route to De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 aircraft in October 2024.

A $12 million terminal on the western side of the airfield was finished in April 2024 and officially opened on 26 April 2024. Funding came from the City of Greater Bendigo ($3 million) and the state and federal governments ($4.5 million each). The building is about four times larger than the one it replaced. It has check-in, a departure lounge, a cafe, an indoor arrivals area with baggage collection and space for future security screening. A 183-space car park and an apron sized for two 70-seat aircraft sit beside it.

The airfield also hosts RMIT University flight training and is the base for an Ambulance Victoria air ambulance helicopter.
