Birdsville Airport (IATA BVI, ICAO YBDV) is a remote outback aerodrome in the far south-west of Queensland, next to the Birdsville Hotel. It sits 48 m above sea level.

Two runways serve the field. Runway 14/32 is sealed asphalt and 1,732 m long. Runway 03/21 is a clay strip 1,200 m long. The Diamantina Shire Council owns and runs the airport, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service uses it.

A $1.5 million upgrade completed in September 2011 added a new terminal building, resurfaced runway 14/32 with edge lighting, and enlarged the apron. The council and the Queensland Government's Regional Airport Development Scheme paid for the work.

Rex flies the scheduled service between Brisbane and Mount Isa through Bedourie and Birdsville. Scenic flights over Lake Eyre and the Channel Mail Run from Port Augusta also use the airport. Traffic peaks over the Birdsville Races weekend each September, when up to 200 light aircraft visit. Avgas and Jet A1 are sold through a private supplier from 7am to 7pm.
