Ayers Rock Airport, also called Connellan Airport, serves the Yulara tourist resort in the south-west of the Northern Territory. Uluru is a 20-minute drive away. Alice Springs, the nearest large town, is about 463 km by air to the north-east, so most visitors reach the region by flying here directly.

The present airport became fully operational in late 1984 as part of the Yulara development. The name recalls Edward Connellan, who founded Connellan Airways in 1942 and provided the original airfield at Uluru. Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia operates the airport. It handled about 345,000 passengers and 2,899 aircraft movements in 2024-25.

The single sealed runway, 13/31, is 2,599 m long. The largest aircraft in regular use are Boeing 737-800 jets flown by Qantas and Virgin Australia, with Jetstar operating Airbus A320s. Scheduled flights link the airport with Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns, and a seasonal Brisbane service has also run. Airservices Australia staffs a fire station on site.
