Negage Airport guide

Negage Airport (ICAO FNNG) serves the town of Negage in Uíge Province, northern Angola. It sits at an elevation of 1,251 metres, on the plateau about 2 kilometres from the town centre.

The Portuguese Air Force built the airfield as Aerodrome-Base nº 3 (AB3) and inaugurated it on 7 February 1961. The base played a significant role in the Angolan War of Independence. It also controlled two satellite manoeuvre fields, Maquela do Zombo (AM31) and Toto (AM32).

The airport has two runways. Runway 16/34 is asphalt and 2,400 metres long. Runway 09/27 is a dirt strip of 800 metres. A non-directional beacon with the identifier NG is reported on the field. No scheduled passenger airlines, terminal details or public traffic statistics are available, so check with the operator before planning a flight.
